Some projects will allow you to mint yourself a free NFT. To do such a thing, you’ll need a wallet that supports NFTs. When you have one, simply go to the website providing free NFT, select the “MINT” button and sign the transaction.
Double-check that the price is really “0” when you get a popup to sign the transaction. You’ll just have to pay for the gas fees (transaction cost), which is super low on blockchains such as Polygon but can reach upwards of 100$ on Ethereum.
Tall Neck Tribe is an Ethereum NFT project that’s currently hosting a giveaway for 3 winners. The minting begins on 4th November 2021, so they’ll have many more giveaways before they mint. There is a team of 17 artists behind the project.

NFT giveaways are promotions that will give free NFTs to users who participate in them. As we have previously mentioned, some giveaways will require you to complete certain steps, and others will allow you to mint yourself a free NFT.
In case you are wondering, minting is a process where an image actually becomes an NFT.
If you are minting the giveaway NFT yourself, you might want to choose NFTs that are on other blockchains than Ethereum. Why? Ethereum currently has high transaction fees that can sometimes be more expensive than if you tried to send 20$ worth of ETH to someone.
So, what are the alternatives?
One of the alternatives is the Polygon blockchain. There is a wide variety of great projects built on Polygon. These include NFT blockchain games such as ZED Run, art-focused NFT OtherworldGang, virtual world games such as Ember Sword Land, and others.
There are plenty of other blockchains with great projects such as Solana, WAX, ADA, and others. However, it would take us ages to mention all of these projects. The important thing when participating in a giveaway is to watch the transaction fees.
Also, beware of scams. If there is an active giveaway and one of the steps is to input one of your private details such as private keys, don’t enter. These scams exist to lure people new to this world. The only thing you should ever share in a giveaway is your public wallet address.
If an NFT giveaway requires you to download something to your PC or Mobile Phone, skip on that as well. You should understand that the cryptocurrency and NFT world is ideal for scammers. That’s because payments cannot be refunded and there is a certain level of anonymity for the scammers.
The first and obvious step is to find NFT giveaways. You can use our list to find them more easily, or you can search social media for them. Twitter is arguably the best social media platform for NFTs, so the best place to start would be there.
You can search by using hashtags such as #NFTGiveaway or #NFTPromotion. Once you have found a giveaway, it will mostly look something like the tweet on the image down below.
As you may see from the image, the steps required to participate are really simple. Put the image as your profile pic, like & retweet, join Discord and write your wallet address there.
Some other giveaways we have seen may also require you to post a comment or tag your friends. Of course, there are thousands of different promotions so don’t be surprised if someone has a different way to host it. However, the simpler the giveaway, the more people will usually participate.
It’s important to note that not all of the giveaways are for free NFTs. There are many projects running giveaways where the main prize is an expensive NFT from a collection that has sold out. The steps to participate in such a giveaway, however, are mostly the same.
Giveaways are a great way to kickstart your community. Perhaps it’s the best method for organic growth overall. People love free stuff and especially free NFTs.
That’s why it would be good for you to add your NFT project to our list.
Also, you should explore other social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and even YouTube. There are always ways to promote your products on social media as there are millions of people, however, some platforms may be better than others.
You can hold as many NFTs in your wallet as you want. There is no defined limit, so you don’t have to worry about it. Digital wallets don’t work like an e-mail inbox, there is no such thing as a “full capacity wallet”.
There are cases of airdrop spams that will fill up users’ accounts with unwanted NFTs. To battle this, marketplaces such as OpenSea have a “hidden” section. That’s where all of the free NFTs that you receive go.
When NFTs are in the “hidden” section, other people browsing your profile on the marketplace won’t see them. If you want to display it, you’ll need to “unhide” it. There isn’t a feature to block NFTs at this moment, but it may be possible in the future.
In case you are wondering which wallet to use, check our best NFT wallets ranking.
This largely depends on the type of wallet, however, mostly yes. If your wallet supports several blockchains, then it’s possible. Such example is Trust Wallet which lets you hold both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain NFTs.
Another example is MetaMask, however, it can only hold Ethereum and other ERC-20 tokens. However, Polygon blockchain supports NFTs, so you can hold both ETH, Polygon, and other supported ERC-20 token NFTs in MetaMask.
You can then use that wallet to sign in to an NFT marketplace and you’ll see all NFTs you own in one place.
Mostly, however, certain blockchains have the same wallet addresses. ERC-20 tokens such as Polygon and Avax have the same address as Ethereum if you are using MetaMask or a similar NFT wallet where you have multiple different networks.
How is that possible? Because they operate on the same main blockchain, Ethereum.
What that means is that it doesn’t matter if you are sharing your ETH or your Polygon address, it’s exactly the same. You’ll receive the funds normally in your wallet. Some wallets will require you to switch the “network” to see the funds in that token, while others have it all bundled up in a list.
That being said, this is only possible if the wallet of your choice supports several different tokens. There isn’t a way to manage your funds from a blockchain if it’s not supported within a wallet.
Yes, NFT airdrops are completely safe. There have been some rumors spread by Twitter and Reddit users about NFTs that can steal your funds. This turned out to be a hoax later on.
In most cases, if a person is “hacked”, that’s because he sent money through a fake website aka a “Phishing” website. Such websites will look like the real deal, but your money will end up in the scammer’s wallet instead.
Another way you could be hacked is if you share your backup phrase with someone. When you do such a thing, hackers can easily get into your wallet and steal all of your funds. Always remember, you should never input your recovery phrase anywhere unless you are recovering your wallet on another device.
Here are some tips to stay safe in the NFT world:
NFTs and cryptocurrencies are fun and rewarding. However, there will always be some people trying to take advantage of others. You should be extra cautious when dealing with NFT tokens.
Always do your own research and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Most NFT creators will love any kind of questions about their NFT project.
Did you know that the most popular NFT collection “CryptoPunks” was actually free when it came out? Everything the users had to do is connect their Ethereum wallets and pay for the transaction cost which was low at that time.
Nowadays, CryptoPunks have surpassed $42 million in total sales in USD. What does that mean? Basically, ever since the first person has minted a crypto punk, people have traded them. Now that total trade amount is over 42 million, which is amazing considering it was given away for free.
Imagine minting one for free and then totally forgetting about it, only to find out it’s worth half a million? We bet one of those 10,000 collectibles in the CryptoPunks collection has a similar story.
We are not saying that your collection will become the next CryptoPunks if you do a giveaway, however, you’ll greatly increase the exposure of your project.
Sometimes all it takes is for the right people to see your project. When you do a giveaway on Twitter, it can get retweeted and a “whale” might notice your collection and decide to buy. The same thing can happen here on our website where collectors will see your collection in our best NFT giveaways table.
Do you have an NFT project and plan on doing a giveaway? In that case, you should list it on our website. We have already listed the benefits of doing a giveaway, but now let’s list the benefits of promoting your giveaway in our list.

From the very start of the project DMA’s design team admitted that our existing website looked like it was straight out of the 90s. A lot of that stemmed from the fact that it was indeed originally built in the 90s. We let them have a lot of free reign to tell us how different parts of the website should be designed and organized since they were the experts. The whole project took around 11 weeks to complete, but we noticed an immediate improvement in our sales process within just hours of launching the new website. We had previous customers reach out to us congratulating us for joining them in the 21st century and even some of our competitors thought the website was beautiful. Needless to say our sales processes and customer trust have both improved incredibly.
